Cushion Modified Brilliant

Cushion Modified Brilliant

The cushion cut diamond type is cut in a number of differing ways, this image shows a “Cushion Modified Brilliant”, the most common type, although 95 % of cushion cut diamond carry this designation the faceting of the cut can be very varied. The one constant with them is that they all have a general cushion outer shape.

Because the cut varies so much this is a diamond type that has many good diamond options,  but just as many not so good, quite a few are quite simply very poor looking, the diamond can be quite irregular in shape and heavy at the back, leading to diamonds that are not as wide across the top as the better cut options, Careful selection is critical if you are to have a great looking diamond as this.
