Engagement ring designing can be easy or complex depending on the design in question. Good design all starts from a fantastic set of diamonds or gemstones. A great, well cut diamond makes the design process all worth the effort.
We don’t always need to do a sketch, because we can work from photos or designs people have in mind. When a sketch is required, this is how they look (see below). Some are pictured with the finished engagement ring on top.
These sketches are drawn in pencil by hand, a little work of art all on its own.
Yes, you could use a computer, but its just not the same as carefully placing each line on the page to get it right. It is like making the ring carefully in your head, thinking it through, working out the best options.
Some clients have their sketch signed and then framed as a memento of the process involved in making a very special engagement ring. It is a nice touch.
